Cleaner
Contract – Part time position for 3 days per week
Monday, Wednesday, Fridays from 5.30am – 8.30am
The contract is for 9 hrs per week.
About the Centre
The Yangebup Family Centre (YFC) is a community managed not-for-profit organisation that promotes connection and wellbeing in the local community. The Centre is a cultural hub where children, families, individuals and seniors can embrace diversity and belonging. The Centre is located on Dunraven Drive between Yangebup Road and Beeliar Drive.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ensures all facilities and assets are kept clean and hygienic.
- Displays high regard for personal safety, and fitness for duty.
- Plans work to identify any potential hazards and to meet the daily work schedule.
- Ensures correct equipment is used for its intended purpose and that all chemicals and cleaning agents are stored safely in accordance with Centre policies.
- Notifies Centre of supplies necessary to complete a set task; this includes both materials and suitable tools.
- Must be able to work independently but also as a member of a team.
- Demonstrates and champions behaviour that is consistent with the Centre Values.
- Meets Occupational Safety and Heath, Child Safe, Education and Care Services, anti-discrimination, equal opportunity, and other relevant legislative requirements.
- Actively promotes and encourages sustainability principles and practices.
- Undertakes other duties as requested.
The successful applicant will possess (or willing to get):
- Strong Communication Skills
- Working with Children Check
- Police Clearance
