Contract – Part time position for 3 days per week
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday for 5-6 hours per day between the hours of 8am and 4pm
The contract is for 15-18 hrs per week (5-6 hours/day)
About the Centre
The Yangebup Family Centre (YFC) is a community managed not-for-profit organisation that promotes connection and wellbeing in the local community. The Centre is a cultural hub where children, families, individuals and seniors can embrace diversity and belonging. The Centre is located on Dunraven Drive between Yangebup Road and Beeliar Drive.
About the Role
You will be part of a small team who manage the Centre and provide the programs and services that inspire, grow and strengthen our community. This includes;
- Controls and manages the processing of payroll; payables and receivables including processing information into financial systems; receipting money received; overdue payments; and end of financial year requirements together with meeting superannuation obligations.
- Develops, builds, and maintains positive and collaborative communication and working relationships and partnerships with various internal and external stakeholders such as parents, government agencies, community groups, not-for-profit organisations, businesses, and the general public.
- Processes and manages room hire and associated contracts.
- Responds to queries received from visitors and participants of the Centre.
- Organises day to day maintenance.
- Demonstrates and champions behaviour that is consistent with the Centre Values.
What you’ll need
- Progression towards or relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, bookkeeping or related field or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience of financial accounting processes and systems including MYOB and Microsoft Excel. Experience in Childcare Content Management Systems is a plus.
- Experience in preparing and maintaining budgetary and financial reporting information.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with a range of stakeholders in a variety of contexts.
- Working with Children Check (or be prepared to obtain)
- Police Clearance (or be prepared to obtain)
- First Aid Certificate (or be prepared to obtain)
