Position Vacant

Cleaner

Contract – Part time position for 3 days per week
Monday, Wednesday, Fridays from 5.30am – 8.30am
The contract is for 9 hrs per week.

About the Centre
The Yangebup Family Centre (YFC) is a community managed not-for-profit organisation that promotes connection and wellbeing in the local community. The Centre is a cultural hub where children, families, individuals and seniors can embrace diversity and belonging. The Centre is located on Dunraven Drive between Yangebup Road and Beeliar Drive.

Responsibilities will include:
• Ensures all facilities and assets are kept clean and hygienic.
• Displays high regard for personal safety, fitness for duty and to ensure work area is tidy and free of hazards.
• Plans work to identify any potential hazards and to meet the daily work schedule.
• Ensures correct equipment is used for its intended purpose and that all chemicals and cleaning agents are stored safely in accordance with Centre policies.
• Notifies Centre of supplies necessary to complete a set task; this includes both materials and suitable tools.
• Must be able to work independently but also as a member of a team.
• Demonstrates and champions behaviour that is consistent with the Centre Values.
• Meets Occupational Safety and Heath, Child Safe, Education and Care Services, anti-discrimination, equal opportunity, and other relevant legislative requirements.
• Actively promotes and encourages sustainability principles and practices.
• Undertakes other duties as requested.

The successful applicant will possess:
• Strong Communication Skills
• Working with Children Check
• Police Clearance
